The Category Operations Senior Manager leads the team that is responsible for the operational planning for all enterprise product launches. The Category Operations Sr Manager is well positioned in strategic conversations with key cross-functional partners in support of Category Management – including, but not limited to: strategy development support, new category feasibility, high-profile/ecosystem launches, and broader category initiatives.

Additionally, the Category Operations Senior Manager plays a critical support role for the COPM Team and as a pipeline into the ELP Process Design & Governance Team. In addition, as a People Leader they also have responsibility for driving positive change within their team, developmental support, and ability to lead coaching conversations, as necessary.

What will you do:

Operational Support and Execution of Enterprise Product Launches, New Category Introductions, New Vendors, & Complex Promotional Planning.

Support the development of end-to-end operational plans in support of Enterprise Product Launches for new products, new category introductions, and new vendors.

Support the execution of end-to-end operational plans for complex vendor promotions.

Lead large cross-functional teams through execution of comprehensive launch plans, influencing and driving decisions at all levels and disciplines.

Partner with Category Management on strategic activities to drive the business

Support as needed as a Vendor Captain for select/limited vendors

Participates in key resource planning conversations with peers.

Maintain a strong pulse on upcoming launches for the Enterprise as it pertains to products, categories and vendors.

Prepare for launch planning meetings, ensuring the right stakeholders have a seat at the table and supporting materials are sufficient to drive a world-class result.

Supports the execution of launch planning and launch meetings.

Provide clear direction to cross functional members by creating a consistent approach within the product launch process by way of meeting cadences, tools and resources leveraged and recap expectations.

Acts as Vendor Captain for select vendors in support of key vendor agreements and initiatives.

Encourage an environment that supports Inclusion & Diversity in support of the company priorities.

Provide guidance & support, and act as a resource for your team as they encounter difficulty in executing operational plans.

Intersection with Category Operations – Process Design and Governance Team.

Partner with the Process Design & Governance Team to identify process gaps and provide recommendations with the goal of creating clear, consistent, and sustainable processes in support of the holistic Enterprise Launch Process.

Ensure clear and complete documentation and organization of information throughout launch planning and execution and throughout post-mortem activities.

A successful candidate is:

Someone with strong ability to lead people and support the development goals of their team. They are highly organized with strong attention to detail. Excels at large meeting facilitation – virtually and in-person and has the ability to lead large cross-functional teams to an aligned outcome or goal. This individual is also able to multi-task and prioritize with the ability to leading multiple launches or promos simultaneously

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of Project Management Experience

5 years of Experience in a role working cross-functionally to gain influence and develop partnerships

5 years of People Management experience leading multi-discipline teams

3 years of Retail Business Acumen

Preferred Requirements:

3 years of Experience in vendor interaction
