Acts as PC, Network, and associated systems implementation project manager who also analyzes, designs and implements technology solutions to meet customer, department, and enterprise scale requirements at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Provides leadership in establishing future technology direction. Develops, tests, and executes strategies for rollout of enterprise-wide operating system, application, and Lifecycle hardware turnover. The IT Consultant works with VM organizational leaders, IT staff, and customers to select standard devices. The IT Consultant manages, negotiates, and maintains business relationship with IT business partners and directs technicians in daily implementation of hardware and software related IT projects. The IT Consultant also does resource leveling and planning based on project requirements. ','!*!
This position requires a 4 year BS/BA degree in business, MIS, computer science or a related field - or equivalent experience.
Four years of technical hands-on enterprise scale PC/network/business based exposure is preferred.
Must have demonstrated project management experience.
Must have proven interpersonal, technical, negotiating, organizational, and communication (oral and written) skills.
Preferred: In-depth knowledge of VM's technical environment and its operational functionality and capabilities.
