What is the Director, Large Product Fulfillment Operations responsible for?

The Director, Large Product Fulfillment Operations is directly responsible for delivering operational improvements, providing field support, oversight of system’s needs, and for building the strategic plan for future growth. This position has P&L responsibility and supports both Best Buy’s internal workforce and multiple third-party partners. This position will be directly responsible for delivering multiple transformational initiatives supporting Large Product category growth and for driving the best possible in-home delivery customer experience. The individual in this role will ideally sit at the Best Buy Corporate Campus in Richfield, MN.

Areas of ownership and impact:

Deliver Excellence Leverage and build on strengths of focusing on customer service excellence and deliver innovative solutions that ensure Best Buy meets/exceeds systems for performance while driving business capabilities that lead to high quality outcomes.

Capabilities Leadership Lead the functional and technical capability roadmap for process and operational excellence in the area of Large Product fulfillment and delivery strategies through process improvements, system refinements, and infrastructure investment strategies to gain stakeholder alignment while driving the process to improve the process and build a world class business.

Industry Subject Matter Expertise Enhance subject matter expertise in operational performance through the application data and analytics and ensure timely reporting of performance, escalating issues and opportunities to drive changes and ensure goals are met.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation Lead in the innovation space by creating new ways of finding opportunities to learn and try new ideas while rapidly assess their value. Create an environment of continuously finding ways to drive quality speed and efficiency to make a positive and lasting impact. Partner with other areas across the Enterprise to ensure continuous improvement, driving a positive experience for all internal and external customers while delivering cost effective solutions.

What is required for this role?

We are looking for a Director, Large Product Fulfillment Operations, that is a functional and operational master in strategy, application, delivery and execution. The ideal candidate will not only be excellent in strategy, but also be exceptional in the execution and management of the role.

Basic Requirements: 10 years of Services, Merchant, Retail or related experience

4 years of people leadership experience with direct/indirect reports

4 years of experience managing a budget

2 years of experience leading change management initiatives

Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's degree

9 years of people leadership experience with direct/indirect reports

10 years of experience managing a budget

3 years of vendor management experience

7 years of cross-functional project management experience

4 years of experience at a manager or director level leading large global services-oriented business in the retail industry and/or a multi-channel/multi-brand business
