There are three basic roles of the construction project manager
Construction Management as an advisor- Construction Management as an advisor provides preconstruction services such as estimating, scheduling and reviews, he basically serves as an advisor to the owner regarding the projects planning, design and construction phases.
Construction Management as a constructor-construction management is responsible for the task s of contract management and construction; he assumes the same risk as the general contractor including the jobsite safety.
Construction Management as an agent-has an agreement with the owner and has many powers of the owner including the decision-making and financial authority.
Experience: When an employer hires a construction project manager, the first thing he may consider is the experience of the construction project manager. As discussed earlier, experience is always an advantage, but also the international experience in the construction is favorable. Sometimes, if it’s a big construction project, only experienced people are preferred, while in small construction projects, trainees or new graduates from college may also be considered.
